The Study Touy to Hiroshima was held from November 11th to 13th, and six fellows took part in the tour. On the 11th, we visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and the cenotaphs set up around it, reconfirming the devastation caused by the atomic bomb and the importance of using science and technology correctly. On the night of the 11th, we enjoyed Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki, and on the following day, we visited Itsukushima Shrine and experienced traditional Japanese culture.
The highlight of the tour is that when we visited the Peace Memorial Museum on the 11th, Hiroshima City also presented the MIF with a young tree of the A-Bombed Aogiri Ⅱ. The young tree was planted in the Japanese garden at the MIF office on the 20th.
